All about Boudoir Empowerment Photos

What do you think when you see a professional photos of women wearing something sexy? What about when they’re posing with their back arched and fingers running through their hair? Do you think empowerment photography or do you think boudoir photography?

These boudoir sessions often include professional hair, make-up services, as well as a luxurious setting to pose for these very intimate and speciality photo sessions.

You may notice in my portfolio and menu of included services that this type of photoshoot and complimentary add-ons are offered with my sessions too. If these two sessions look the same from the outside, what sets them apart?

The difference between Empowerment and simple Boudoir Photography is one VERY important aspect, that is right in the name itself, EMPOWERMENT.

The client who is in my studio for her session is not here to take the perfect photo for her soon-to-be husband, she is not here to “spice up her marriage” with her spouse after 15 years of marriage.

My clients are in my studio for these sessions to do this as a gift to themselves, to empower THEMSELVES.

What Empowerment Photography Looks Like

The goal of an Empowerment session is not simply to find the sexiest piece of lingerie and pair it with the most seductive pose.
Empowerment Photography is meant to provide the client with a fun photo session that leaves them feeling confident, gorgeous, and empowered.

There are no “rules” in Empowerment Photography. There is no perfect outfit, nor perfect size. It’s all about feeling beautiful on the inside during your session, which will make you glow on the outside.

Clients may arrive with an array of sexy lingerie items or their favorite pajamas and fuzzy slippers. The only clothing requirement is to choose items that make THEM feel empowered.

Awkwardness? Nope, not here. Empowerment Photography sessions are a safe place. We will turn on your fave music, eat your favorite snack, and laugh our way through the process. Don’t worry about the perfect pose. There are no rules, remember? 
It’s ALL about how YOU feel in the moment.
