One thing that excites me the most for an empowerment session is the preparation portion of a photoshoot. That pampering time with our professional hair and make-up team.

When a client arrives at the studio for their empowerment session we begin the day with a very luxurious hair and makeup session. We want our clients to feel their absolute best, so having a professional to do their hair and makeup with a look catered directly to their preferences is THE best way to start. 

When deciding on a client’s make-up look there are a few factors that play into the final look. 

The Perfect Palette

1. Light or Dramatic Make-Up

Whether the makeup is light or dramatic is solely based on the wants of the model. If she wants to go ALL-OUT with a gorgeous smokey eye and some volumizing lashes, our team will ABSOLUTELY make that happen, but if she feels she would like to stay on the more natural side we can absolutely support that decision as well.

As always; we leave all of the decisions up to the comfortability of our model, it is after all, her day. 

2. Color Palette
   The color selection of your makeup will be catered to match your selected outfits. 

Our professionals pick a color palette for your makeup that will match all of your selected outfits for the day. Ultimately tying everything together perfectly.

Waves for Days

When it comes to hair we do tend to stick to the same style each time, BUT we have good reasons, we promise!

For our empowerment clients we will almost always do a loose wave type hairstyle. We do this because during this session your hair is going to be tossed left, right, and every which way. We will often have you running your fingers and hands through it as well. Having a messy yet chic look to your curls and waves allows you to keep it playful without having to sacrifice a good hairstyle.

During this process you get to snack on your favorite snacks, sip on your selected beverage of your choice, relax, engage in fun conversations and listen to your favorite music.  It’s the ultimate way to not only feel pampered, but it allows you to really take in the ambiance of the session and allow yourself to not be so nervous and tense. It’s the ultimate ice breaker and sets you up for the funniest and most empowering photoshoot you’ll ever experience, we guarantee it!
